All Cochran 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to join LAUSD's 2026–27 Reading Challenge, Read More. Be More. Change the World. The challenge runs from November 2, 2026 through February 26, 2027.
- Pick a book you want to read. Read it online in the SORA app (open SORA from Schoology), or check out a book from the Cochran library.
- Write a reflection. When you finish, fill out the Reading Challenge Google Form with a CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) that shows what you understood about the book. You can submit up to 10 reflections, one per book.
- Help Cochran win! Every reflection counts. LAUSD will announce the top schools in each region and across the district.
