Our Vision and Mission

Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. Middle School is a community of learners in an academic environment that values curiosity, literacy, and exploration. We are committed to redefining the Cochran experience with a focus on helping students prepare for college and careers by having equal access to a rigorous education. We want every student to become a lifelong learner.

 

Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. Middle School will create a rigorous learning environment that instills high expectations for success through challenging and supportive instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment. Each student's development is fostered through positive relationships between students and staff. Our parents, teachers, and community members will be actively involved in our student's learning.
